Sitecore MVP Awards 2018

What a way to go into the new year that 2018 still is!

Sitecore just announced the names of the new MVP's for 2018 and I have the honor of carrying the title for yet another year!
I would like to congratulate all my fellow MVP's for their great achievements and contributions over the last year. This award is the sugar coating on top, but it is the underlying work, investment of ideas and insight that should take all the credit!.

Let's put it with a quote from Pieter Brinkman, Sitecore Senior Director of Technical Marketing:

This makes for a great basis for the comming efforts in 2018:
  • Focus on enlarging our knowledge and offering where possible
  • Sitecore Commerce
  • SXA all the things
  • Deeper diving into Powershell 
  • SUGCON 2018 
  • Sitecore Symposium 2018 in Orlando



In short, there is a lot ahead of us, and I think that acknowledgment from Sitecore has just armed all the MVP's out there to go and get it :)

Sitecore 8.2 in-depth preview + 8.3 update info and Sitecore Ecommerce information

During the last Sitecore User group session here in Belgium, Ryan Donovan was featured as the central speaker. Date Ranges in C#

DateRange utility class Throughout development there are a number of typical things that tend to recur. One of these is implementing a means to display start and end dates for News, Events, Symposiums, Lives etc etc Writing a little class that manages printing these dates seemed like a necessary task that just had to be done in order to make this tedious task be a thing of the past. Therefore I created my "DateRange" class (what's in a name) that should handle this entirely for you. The Idea The intriquities of displaying a datetime range should be an abstraction. You should only need to worry about passing the correct dates (start and end - if applicable) to the Utility class combined with an optional formatting.
